Nominator's project description
| Professor Bauer is a leading solid-state physicist in the field of pintronics. He is known worldwide for his concept of spin-pumping and for creating new interdisciplinary fields that bring different communities together. For example, a few years ago he and other colleagues were able to launch a link between spin coloritronics – a field that combines thermal physics and spintronics – and the new field of spin cavitronics. The focus of the joint work in Germany will be new concepts of ferroelectricity and quantum magnonics. |
